The zombie apocalypse has barely started and there is already a panic. There’s a few people that know what’s going on, even if they don’t understand it. Then there’s the people who are blaming the cops and then there’s the people who have no idea anything is going on at all. Doesn’t matter what category you are in, things are not good.
It looks like some people figured out it was a virus right from the beginning. Alicia’s boyfriend was bit, but Calvin was shot and still became a walker. These people are in a totally different location, so I’m sure their story will be a bit different than Daryl and Glenn’s story was. Plus if you think about Maggie and her family, they kept their loved ones locked up thinking they could cure them. So who knows how this story is going to play out.
When we were introduced to Madison we knew she was a tough woman. She wasn’t a romantic, but still a caring person. This week she’s faced off with her colleague, who’s a walker. I don’t think people quite understand that the walkers are dead and their loved ones are no more. Madison feels like she’s killed her colleague. Though Nick seems to understand that the person they knew, is no more. Nick seems to be catching on to everything a lot quicker than anyone else.
If Nick didn’t get through to his sister, his sister would probably be dead and he probably would have been dead too.
It’s about time Madison started talking to Alicia. She managed to get Alicia way from her boyfriend, but Alicia does not understand why she can’t go help a neighbor and why her other neighbor is doing the attacking. Maybe Madison hasn’t worked through it all herself, but if she wants to keep Alicia safe, she needs to start talking.
Parents always want to keep their kids safe, but sometimes shielding them from the information is not the best way to do it.
Fear the Walking Dead is portraying the beginning very realistically. Everyone is having different reactions and no one really understands what’s going on. It’s an interesting perspective for the audience, who know where this is all going.
Madison has her kids, but her boyfriend is with his ex-wife and son. they’ve already been separated. I want to assume they will be reunited at some point, but maybe that’s not how the story goes.
If you are excited for closer contact with the walkers, it doesn’t look like you’ll have to wait too long. In two weeks the walkers look to be closing in on the characters.
