My Favorite Gossip Girl Episodes Number 7

7. Summer, Kind of Wonderful
Season 2 Episode 1

This was the first episode I ever saw of Gossip Girl and I was hooked. For whatever reason I never watched the series in the first season, but after this episode I went out and bought the first season and caught up very quickly.

I loved the drama, I loved Kristen Bell’s witty narrative, I loved the fashion and I also found the show quite funny. Even with not know the Dan and Serena or the Chuck and Blair backstories, I still enjoyed every minute of this episode.

This episode was always going to be on my top ten list, it was just a matter of where I was going to put it. I decided number seven was a good place for it.

Gossip Girl is known for it’s parties and for the fall out that happens at them. This party had more happy endings than most Upper East Side parties, but then again they were in the Hamptons. Dan and Serena found their way back together and Jenny made some progress with her internship and patched things up with Eric. Nate may have been happy to continue things with Katherine, but he knew then and would definitely find out later it was a mistake.

This was also the early stages for Blair and Chuck, sure a lot happened in the first season, but this is where the off again, on again really begins.  If Chuck was able to say those three words, eight letters, their relationship may have been much different. But Chuck couldn’t say those words and Blair couldn’t say them either, if she was honest with herself. This Blair and Chuck moment was one of my favorites. Take a look back at the scene. After all these year will Blair and Chuck live happily ever after?
