Is there a song you’ve heard on Wednesday nights on Nashville that you absolutely love? Well now you’ll be able to own it. Nashville is releasing a soundtrack on December 11.
There are so many musical acts to choose from: Juliette, Rayna, Deacon, Charlotte and Gunner. Which song are you waiting for?
The album consists of the best songs sung by Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Johnathan Jackson, Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio.
Nashville has written all original music for the show that is produced by award-winning producers T Bone Burnett, Dann Huff and Michael Knox. The album will be released by the record company that brought you Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift: Big Machine Records.
The duet by Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, Wrong Song, has got girl power and the right mixture of pop and country with lyrics: “You’ve got the wrong girl, cause I’ve got you’re number, don’t know what kind of spell you think I’m under”.
Then there’s the duet If I Didn’t Know Better with Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio. They do sexy, blues very well. Bowen sings “You might as well be the devil” and “If I didn’t know better, but damn it I do”. These two can steam up any room.
Panettiere also sings Undermine featuring Charles Esten. I’m a big fan of her and never knew she could sing. The chorus goes, “And it’s a whole lot harder to shine than undermine.” She also sings ,” I wouldn’t trade my best day, so you could validate your fears”. I’m not a big country music fan, but this country song has a good tune to bob your head to and good lyrics to sing along to.
Bowen opens up the ballad, When the Right One Comes Along, by singing: “There’s no music, no confetti, crowds don’t cheer at, bells don’t ring, but you’ll know it. I guarantee, when the right one comes along”. Palladio also accompanies her on this beautiful song. They have such good chemistry together and really make you feel the lyrics.
Panettiere also has a solo song on the album that is a mixture of Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson: Telescope. She sings, “There ain’t no cheating, scheming my heart don’t see. You left your troubles in my head, in my head. You left your secrets in my bed, in my bed”. You can dance to this song or just sing your heart out at the guy that scorned you.
So far the music on Nashville has been really good. I can’t wait to hear what other songs they have in store.
In the meantime enjoy the official music video for Telescope with Panettiere:
