We can finally breath a little easier knowing that Glenn is alive, but we didn’t get to catch our breath long before chaos ensued again.
So The Walking Dead writers were just torturing us. Logic says that Glen shouldn’t have made it out, but Steven Yeun never showed up on The Talking Dead and no one would ever confirm that he was dead, so hope lived on for Glenn fans.
Glenn has always been resourceful and quick on his feet and proved to be once again. If I was in a zombie apocalypse, I would want to be with Glenn.
It was scary for a moment as we watched Glenn pull himself under the dumpster and fend off the walkers and wait through the night, but I figured he would make it out, because why show us this part?
Glenn wasn’t even fazed by his close encounter. I think the fans took a bigger hit than he did. He survived and he’s moving on.
Alexandria may need him with the predicament they are in. Throughout the whole episode we saw the tower chipping away, so it should come to no surprise that it toppled down. Rick thought they had time to form a plan, but they really should have been jumping into action.
It was a very bitter sweet moment right before the tower came down. Glenn had sent out a sign that he was alive, so Maggie was relieved, but that didn’t last long. The walkers are making their way into the town.
Would it be wrong to say that I’m happy for this? The gang have found safe havens before but it never lasts. This must be the point in the story where it’s time to move on. I didn’t like a lot of these new characters anyways and the writers never gave us a chance to like them.
They were torturing us with the fate of Glenn and then trying to develop the new characters. That’s not the way to do it. So could this mean a lot of these characters won’t make it through?
This episode was definitely the calm before the storm. There were some great moments though. Morgan was getting blamed for the guys that tried to kill Rick. Yeah I guess that is his fault, but I kind of like Morgan’s idea that ‘all life is precious’. It may not be as simple as all that as Michonne said, but it’s nice that there isn’t always killing. Can Morgan live with them and not fall into line?
I always liked Carol, I really did, but she’s so hardened now that I don’t know if I still like her anymore.
Glenn just almost died because Nicholas killed himself. He gave up, but Glenn is trying to help Ingrid. It’s nice to think that through everything Glenn is the same guy he always was. He’s the guy that was crazy enough to save Rick and he continues to try to save people. Not everyone has to turn dark.
Glenn hasn’t turned dark and somehow against all the odds, he’s still alive. Does that not show you a different way could work too?
It’s the midseason finale next week and with a herd of walkers coming into Alexandria, there’s sure to be many deaths.
I guess Norman didn’t lie to us, the ‘help’ was not Glenn, it was Alexandria. Will Glenn, Daryl, Sasha and Abraham be able to save the town? Or at least their own people.
