I was getting worried that there was going to be no Thanksgiving episode in the final season of Gossip Girl. I had forgotten how Hurricane Sandy had set back the episodes one week. It just wouldn’t be right to not have a Thanksgiving episode.
Thanksgiving is known for it’s drama on the Upper East Side and this Thanksgiving was no exception.
Once again Blair thought she was going to go to Paris for Thanksgiving and then she gets an invite to Serena and Dan’s Thanksgiving dinner. I thought Blair had grown up, but she was back to a scheming self. I think part of the reason why Dan and Serena broke up, yet again, was because of Blair’s medaling.
Did Blair really need to get Steven and Sage invited? Everything was going so well and then Rufus had to go and tell Dan he’s not good enough for Serena and the next thing you know Steven is invited to the dinner. Of course Dan would start having doubts. He should have stuck with the first chapter though.
I know he wants to be one of them, but he has been one of them for a long time.
The reason why Serena fell in love with him, Nate became friends with him, Blair dated him and Chuck even had a short stint being friends with him was because he was different. He completed their group. Nate doesn’t go around hurting his friends, at least not on purpose. The other’s definitely hurt each other all over Gossip Girl, but that doesn’t mean Dan had to stoop to their level to feel like their equal.
So what is Dan’s plan? He’s on his last chapter and just in time too. There’s only two more episodes left. He said there is no winning without Serena, but he’s lost her again. I’m so upset. I wanted them to end up together, come on writers, two more episodes to get them back together.
Chuck and Blair have found their way back to each other and they may just take down Bart yet. At least Lily has seen the truth now.
What is Bart going to have Nate do? And is Chuck’s life in danger? I’m getting very worried for Chuck. Bart has already had two men killed, he has proven time and time again that he doesn’t care about anyone, so I don’t think he would think for a second about having his own son murdered.
What did you think of the episode? Leave me a comment.
