I’ve been waiting very impatiently and nervously to see if E! would renew The Royals for a fourth season. With all the drama leading up to the season finale on Sunday, I thought they have to give us another season. Finally, E! announced Thursday that The Royals would be coming back for another season.

Jeff Wachtel, president and chief content officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment said:

Mark Schwahn has created a sensational and opulent world filled with high stakes, scandalous drama and fairytale love stories. We’re excited to continue working with the talented cast and crew along with Lionsgate and E! to deliver more of The Royals to loyal fans.

I can rest a little easier as the season finale is approaching. I’m sure there’s going to be some sort of cliffhanger and I hate not knowing if we’ll ever get to see it resolved.

Season one was great but it only scratched the surface of what was to come. I thought season two was even better but this season we’ve seen Liam really grow up. He’s been growing up since the beginning but he seemed to step up even more. His loyalties are being tested as he tries to do what is right for England, as he goes after the thrown.

The Royals being renewed made my day. I was almost excited as the cast. The news brought Alexandra Park to tears:

The season finale is airing on Sunday and who knows how this season will come to an end. Last season they had a victory in getting somewhat justice for the King’s murder but can there even be a win when it’s family member against family member? We’ll have to see where the pieces land after what I’m sure will be an explosive season finale.
