It’s been a long summer waiting to see who lived and died on the island. There were some big reliefs and surprises.
A lot happened on that island and there’s a lot of secrets. Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) and Lance (Paul Blackthorne) had their secret. Lance saved Dinah’s life and thought he had killed Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) but she’s not dead and she’s back and she stole Curtis’ prototype. We don’t know what she wants it for but she’s pretty dangerous.
The biggest secret is why can’t Diggle (David Ramsey) shoot properly anymore? What happened to him on that island? The writers aren’t letting us in on that secret just yet.
For Oliver (Stephen Amell), things haven’t been easy since they got back from the island. His son’s mother died and made him promise to take care of him. He’s trying. He’s really trying but he has no idea what he’s doing. It broke my heart when William (Jack Moore) said he was the bad man. So how does Oliver break through that? Apparently, with a baseball game. That doesn’t solve everything but at least it’s a start.
It took Slade giving him some advice before he figured out what he should do. I’m loving the advice Slade is giving him and I hope we can keep him around.
Oliver is going to have bigger problems to deal with. I have no idea who took that picture but now the world knows that Oliver is the Green Arrow. How will he respond? I’m almost surprised it took six years. We’ve come close before but this is pretty definite.
My only complaint about this episode was Felicity doesn’t really have a storyline. It was great to have a nice awkward Olicity season and her style was on point but where’s her storyline? She’s fun and I loved every moment she was on screen but give Emily more to work with. She can handle it and I want to see her tested or whatever it is the writers can do with her. But do something.
