As PLL, TVD and Teen Wolf Come to an End, Fans Celebrate them with Teen Choice Wins

Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries may be over and Teen Wolf will soon follow but fans are still in love with these three shows. This was very clear at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night.

PLL came away with two awards: Lucy Hale for Choice TV Actress, Drama and Janel Parrish for Choice TV Villian. I took issue with Janel’s nomination, though. At the end of PLL Mona was the hero, not the villain. She proved what I always knew, that she could be trusted. If the nomination was because she will always be our favorite ‘A’, then that’s a whole other story because yes, she is our favorite ‘A’.

Lucy definitely deserved her final win for her character. Aria, along with Spencer, was my favorite on PLL. She took a dark turn in the final episodes and Lucy really showed us the depth of her character. It’s sad that we won’t get to see these characters anymore but amazing that the Teen Choice Awards surprised the ladies with their awards. It was the best way for them to win their last surf boards for these characters that they have embodied for seven years.

TVD won two out of the three awards it was nominated for during its last Teen Choice Awards. Kat Graham won a surf board for Choice TV Actress in the Fantasy/Sci-Fi category and TVD won Choice TV show, Fantasy/Sci-Fi. TVD ended months ago but clearly, the fans still remember.

CONGRATS to #TVD and @katgraham for their #TeenChoice awards!

Teen Wolf just embarked on their final episodes and the fans were all in this Teen Choice season. The show came home with four surf boards! They took home almost every category they were nominated for. Tyler Posey and Holland Roden won for Choice Summer TV star in the male and female categories. Dylan O’Brien won for Choice TV Actor, Fantasy/Si-Fi and Teen Wolf won for Choice Summer TV show.

Teen Wolf has hardly gotten into the final episodes but Tyler, Holland and the whole cast have proven they deserve these awards. Dylan was only in a few minutes and made the premiere episode. Fans are still obsessed with this show, me included, and it just shows how much we’re going to miss it when it’s gone.

I’ve let these characters into my home over the years and I’m sad to see them go. I’m glad that we’re able to give them some final awards to remember what they meant to us.
